Should we fly out of Srinagar or return to Jammu?
Fly out of Srinagar. Doubling back to Jammu costs you a full day on the highway for no reason. Book your inbound to Jammu (IXJ) and your outbound from Srinagar (SXR) — we handle everything in between.
How long is the Katra to Srinagar drive?
Seven to eight hours including stops, over the Banihal pass and through the Jawahar tunnel. It is a beautiful drive. If you would rather not do it, there is a twenty-minute Jammu–Srinagar flight and we can restructure the day.
Is this too much for elderly travellers?
The yatra is the demanding part; the Kashmir leg is gentle. Many of our pilgrimage guests take the helicopter or a palki up to the Bhawan, then find the valley days genuinely restful afterward.
